About The Position

The Warehouse Clerk III of Alloy Surfaces Company (ASC) is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records and supporting inventory control activities for all inventory items purchased and produced utilizing the ERP system. This position ensures compliance with established internal control procedures and supports the efficient flow, storage, and control of materials throughout the facility. The Warehouse Clerk III applies experience and judgment to plan and accomplish assigned goals, performs a variety of complex tasks, and works independently to resolve routine inventory and material-handling issues.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in the warehousing and inventory control areas for a product manufacturing company.
  • Experience with ERP systems in a product manufacturing company.
  • Hands-on experience in warehouse operations, including domestic and international shipping and receiving.
  • Must be eligible to obtain and/or maintain a U.S. Government Security Clearance commensurate with the level of facility clearance.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to apply sound judgment, initiative, and creativity to complex technical challenges.
  • Working knowledge of inventory control, warehouse operations, material flow, and ERP/MRP systems.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Strong experience with maintaining tight control of materials.
  • Must have ability to obtain a forklift/industrial powered vehicle license.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, ERP, and inventory/warehouse management software.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior support of manufacturing operations in defense or aerospace sectors preferred.
  • Forklift experience preferred.
  • Knowledge and experience of MS D365 is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Become knowledgeable and skilled using the ERP system software in all transaction related to material movement, inventory accuracy, and kitting.
  • Administer the inventory cycle counting process and investigate discrepancies as needed.
  • Kitting materials for production jobs in accordance with established requirements.
  • Label, locate, and stock material following receiving inspection and established procedures.
  • Perform data entry for general warehousing activities, including stocking, cycle counting, work-in-progress, and production kit collection.
  • Maintain supporting documentation and records for all data entry activities.
  • Communicate with internal customers to resolve material, order, inventory, or system issues when needed.
  • Maintain stockroom metrics log and provide information for inventory performance reporting.
  • Work closely with Planning, Quality Assurance, and Production to resolve material and inventory-related issues.
  • Identify and escalate inventory discrepancies, material shortages, and other issues that may impact production or inventory accuracy.
  • Ensures compliance with established internal control procedures.
  • Special projects and other duties as assigned.
  • Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures, including but not limited to the Code of Conduct, U.S. Code of Ethics and Business Conduct, and the Chemring Operational Framework.
