About The Position

United Direct Solutions is currently looking for a 1st Shift Warehouse Clerk at our Louisville, KY facility. The schedule is Monday-Friday 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM. This role coordinates and inspects incoming materials and is responsible for tracking and locating all client-supplied material, printed material, and paper stock.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred; or one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Must possess a current motor vehicle operator’s license and have an acceptable driving record.
  • Regularly use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.
  • Frequently stand, walk, and sit.
  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds frequently and lift and or move up to 50 pounds occasionally.
  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience driving a box truck (non-CDL) and 15-passenger van.
  • Forklift/pallet jack operation experience.

Responsibilities

  • Drive a box truck (non-CDL) and 15-passenger van safely, performing driving duties as a backup to full-time personnel.
  • Safely maneuver a forklift/pallet jack.
  • Pull appropriate job ticket and receiving forms; inspect condition of the material and note any damage.
  • Compare job ticket with shipping papers and packing list for quantities and types of material arriving.
  • Maintain accuracy of inventory through daily and weekly checks.
  • Ensure accuracy of completed paperwork and maintain daily contact with Account Managers for accurate material inventory.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment within the warehouse and surrounding areas.
  • Attain job and quality assurance standards, and comply with company personnel and safety policies.
  • Perform other duties as required.
