About The Position

Responsible for efficient and accurate picking and staging orders. This role is performed in a food warehouse environment and requires strict adherence to food safety, quality, and workplace safety standards, including use of required PPE. Employees may work in areas with variable temperatures and machinery noise. The role requires standing or walking for extended periods, performing repetitive tasks, and regularly lifting up to 25–35 pounds (occasionally up to 50 pounds with assistance). Requirements

  • Minimum 1-year experience picking orders
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Experience working in a high volume shipping and receiving environment
  • Self-discipline and a mature worker willing to be part of a “Team Work”
  • Forklift: 3 years (Required)
  • Forklift Certification (Required)
  • Ability to read English

Responsibilities

  • Must be able to add and subtract.
  • Able to lift 50 lbs.
  • Pick all orders accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Pay special attention to detail.
  • Able to understand and work with RF handhelds.
  • Responsible for the proper operation of electric pallet trucks within the warehouse.
  • Pick all orders with the heaviest product on the bottom and lightest on top.
  • Help load and unload trucks.
  • Cycle count items when indicated.
  • Operate RF handheld.
  • Keep the warehouse clean, organized, and safe.
  • Obey all safety regulations at all times.
  • Responsible for complying with all Safe Quality Food (SQF) policies/procedures and requirements for the position.
  • Follow GWP’s, sanitation procedures, and quality procedures as set forth by QA and/or supervisors.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.
