About The Position

Scott Electric Company, a large independent electrical distributor with locations across multiple states, is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Warehouse Checker for its Camp Hill, PA branch. This role is crucial for ensuring customer satisfaction by verifying the accuracy of outgoing orders in an electrical wholesale distribution warehouse. The position operates Monday-Friday from 9:30 AM to 6:00 PM with potential for overtime. Scott Electric is committed to an inclusive workplace and values diverse perspectives.

Requirements

• Previous warehouse or distribution experience, preferably in electrical wholesale or industrial supply
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to read invoices, part numbers, and product specifications
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with scanning systems
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods
• Detail-oriented and organized
• Strong communication skills
• Problem-solving ability
• Time management skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Basic knowledge of electrical products (conduit, fittings, wire, breakers, panels, lighting, etc.)

Responsibilities

• Verify picked orders against sales invoices, packing slips, or pick tickets
• Confirm correct product descriptions, part numbers, quantities, and specifications (e.g., voltage, amperage, wire gauge, breaker type, etc.)
• Inspect materials for damage, defects, or missing components before shipment
• Ensure proper labeling, packaging, and documentation for delivery or customer pickup
• Check special orders and backorders for completeness and accuracy
• Communicate discrepancies or shortages to warehouse staff and supervisors immediately
• Assist in maintaining organized staging areas for outbound shipments
• Follow all company safety procedures, especially when handling electrical materials and warehouse equipment
• Use warehouse management systems (WMS), RF scanners, or ERP software to confirm order accuracy
• Support cycle counts and inventory audits as needed
