About The Position

Vertiv Anderson is seeking a dependable, safety-focused Box Truck Driver to support the transportation and delivery of materials, equipment, and products to internal and external customers. This position is responsible for safely operating company box trucks, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries, maintaining regulatory compliance, conducting required vehicle inspections, and providing exceptional customer service. The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to safety, professionalism, and operational excellence while supporting Vertiv's manufacturing and distribution operations. Drivers are expected to comply with all applicable DOT regulations, FMCSR requirements, company policies, and fleet safety standards.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Valid CDL Class B driver's license or higher.
  • No air-brake restriction.
  • Current DOT Medical Examiner's Certificate or ability to obtain one.
  • Must be able to maintain driver’s qualifications CDL Class B and maintain DOT Medical Examiner’s Certificate.
  • Minimum age of 21 years.
  • Acceptable motor vehicle record.
  • Ability to operate air-brake-equipped commercial vehicles safely.
  • Basic computer and mobile device skills.
  • Strong customer service skills and attention to detail.
  • Must speak and write English fluently.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous box truck, commercial driving, transportation, warehouse, or logistics experience.
  • Experience operating lift gates, pallet jacks, forklifts, or material handling equipment.
  • Experience with DOT compliance and transportation documentation.
  • Manufacturing or industrial environment experience.

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate company box trucks to transport materials, equipment, and finished products.
  • Complete scheduled deliveries and pickups in a timely and professional manner.
  • Maintain compliance with all traffic laws, DOT regulations, and company policies.
  • Provide excellent service to internal and external customers.
  • Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections, including air-brake system checks.
  • Conduct and document Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports (DVIRs).
  • Immediately report vehicle defects, maintenance issues, accidents, or safety concerns.
  • Maintain all required vehicle documentation and emergency equipment.
  • Load and unload shipments using pallet jacks, lift gates, and other material handling equipment.
  • Verify shipment quantities and documentation for accuracy.
  • Properly secure cargo to prevent shifting or damage during transport.
  • Ensure cargo is loaded within vehicle weight and safety requirements.
  • Complete bills of lading, delivery records, proof-of-delivery documentation, and other transportation records.
  • Maintain required DOT and company compliance records.
  • Follow all fleet safety policies, Hours-of-Service requirements, and operational procedures.
  • Participate in required safety training and compliance programs.
