About The Position

Cenveo, a world leader in the management and distribution of print and related offerings is seeking a Baler for its Mt. Pleasant, PA facility. The ideal candidate will have a High School diploma or equivalent and at least 6 months of previous work experience in a manufacturing environment. Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent.
Minimum of six months previous manufacturing experience.
Basic written and verbal communications skills.
Ability to work at a rapid pace.
Basic math skills.
Must be able to become certified to operate material handling equipment.

Nice To Haves

One or more year's previous shipping experience in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

Operates baler by filling baler with waste paper and tying off bales.
Segregates colors and grades of paper.
Transports bales to the scale by operating the fork truck.
Weighs bales and records weight, type of bale and the ticket number. Documents the weight of the bale and initials the bale ticket, attaching the ticket to the bale. Office copy is removed and submitted to supervisor at the end of each shift.
Moves the bale to proper storage area or loads into the trailer and records number of bales loaded onto a trailer.
Complies with safety rules and regulations (wear proper safety attire; steel toed shoes or coverings, hearing protection, safety glasses, shields and gloves as needed), is not involved in horseplay, is cautious when near equipment and machines, always make sure safety guards and contactors are in place and operational.
Maintains clean machine and housekeeping in work area (sweeps, removes waste, etc).
Other duties as assigned.
