About The Position

Ajax Turner Company, Inc., Nashville's Anheuser-Busch wholesaler, is seeking quality Warehouse Auditors. The Warehouse Auditor is responsible for verifying the accuracy, quality, labeling, and staging of products picked for delivery before they are released for loading. This position serves as a critical accuracy checkpoint by confirming that the correct items and quantities are placed on the correct pallet, properly labeled, and staged with the correct delivery route. Accurate auditing helps prevent shorts, overages, damaged-product shipments, staging errors, misloads, customer service failures, and unnecessary redeliveries or hot shots.

Requirements

  • Must be detail-oriented and able to maintain accuracy in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
  • Must possess basic reading and mathematical skills.
  • Must be able to use a handheld scanner and other assigned technology.
  • Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift.
  • Must be able to bend, reach, push, pull, and repeatedly handle cases weighing approximately 15 to 40 pounds.
  • Must be able to work independently with limited direct supervision.
  • Must be able to communicate discrepancies clearly and work effectively with pickers, loaders, and supervisors.
  • Maintain acceptable attendance, productivity, teamwork, safety, and workplace organization.

Nice To Haves

  • Maintain a high level of audit accuracy while meeting the operational needs of the picking and loading departments.
  • Ensure no pallet is released for loading until its products, quantities, labels, and staging location have been verified.
  • Identify and correct preventable shorts, overages, damages, incorrect products, and labeling errors before loading.
  • Complete audits promptly without sacrificing accuracy or bypassing required verification steps.
  • Reverify all corrections before completing the audit.
  • Communicate unresolved discrepancies or operational delays immediately.
  • Maintain organized staging lanes that clearly separate routes and reduce the potential for misloads.
  • Accurately use all required scanning and warehouse systems.

Responsibilities

  • Operate a handheld scanner and applicable warehouse systems, including EasyOps, PALBUILD, or other assigned programs.
  • Scan and audit each assigned pallet to verify the correct items and quantities were picked.
  • Compare the physical products on the pallet with the information displayed by the auditing system.
  • Verify that each pallet has the correct route and pallet labels before releasing it for loading.
  • Confirm that audited pallets are staged in the correct route lane.
  • Check every pallet and label individually without relying on its physical location or assuming it belongs with surrounding pallets.
  • Identify incorrect, missing, extra, damaged, or otherwise invalid products during the auditing process.
  • Remove invalid or damaged products and ensure the correct replacement product is added to the pallet.
  • Reverify corrected pallets before marking the audit complete or releasing the pallet for loading.
  • Ensure shorted items, OOS fulfillment, late additions, and other order corrections are properly picked, audited, and staged.
  • Stop the pallet from advancing to loading when an audit discrepancy has not been corrected.
  • Promptly notify the appropriate supervisor of shortages, inventory discrepancies, incorrect labels, damaged products, system issues, or corrections that cannot be completed.
  • Report repeated picking, labeling, pallet-building, or staging errors so they can be researched, documented, and addressed through coaching or corrective action.
  • Maintain straight, organized, and clearly separated staging lanes.
  • Notify supervision immediately when pallets are staged in the wrong lane, placed between routes, missing labels, or otherwise cannot be positively identified.
  • Assist with stacking empty pallets, removing plastic, cleaning spills, and maintaining a safe and organized pick and staging area.
  • Follow all company safety policies, warehouse procedures, and management instructions.
