About The Position

The Warehouse Auditor is responsible for inspecting, verifying, and reconciling inventory and operational processes within a warehouse. Their primary goal is to ensure accuracy between physical stock and digital records while maintaining compliance with safety and quality standards.

Requirements

  • Proficiency with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), ERP software (like SAP or Oracle), and barcode scanning technology to track real-time stock movements.
  • Expertise in cycle counting, physical inventory verification, and cross-referencing digital records with actual shelf stock.
  • Ability to interpret large datasets to identify trends, calculate inventory turnover rates, and prepare detailed audit reports for management.
  • Deep knowledge of warehouse safety protocols, PPE requirements, and industry-specific regulations to ensure the facility meets legal standards.
  • Exceptional precision is required to spot minor discrepancies in UPC codes, SKU numbers, and product quantities.
  • Moving beyond identifying errors to investigating why they occurred—such as mis-picks or shrinkage—and recommending corrective actions.
  • An associate or bachelor's degree in supply chain management or business is preferred.
  • 1+ years of previous warehouse or inventory control experience.
  • Strong attention to detail for spotting minor discrepancies.
  • Proficiency with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), handheld scanners, and spreadsheet software like Microsoft Excel.
  • Basic math and analytical skills for data reconciliation.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, perform physical tasks like bending, kneeling, and operating material handling equipment as necessary, including electric pallet jacks.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular physical counts of merchandise and reconcile them with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
  • Ensure order discrepancies are corrected, prior to shipment.
  • Ensure Inventory is corrected when Inbound discrepancies occur.
  • Audit the quality of incoming and outgoing loads to ensure they meet established standards and identify any deviations.
  • Case by case breakdown of Outbound orders to ensure accuracy.
  • Audit of Inbound pallets to ensure accurate item, quantity, and code date.
  • Collaborate with Customer Service department to identify focused-audit needs.
  • Identify root causes for stock inconsistencies, such as mis-picks, damages, or theft (shrinkage), and recommend solutions to prevent future errors.
  • Provide feedback to Leadership regarding order discrepancies or miss-picks for associate coaching and accountability.
  • Prepare detailed daily or weekly audit reports for management, documenting findings, violations, and operational efficiency.
  • Monitor warehouse operations to ensure adherence to safety protocols, industry regulations, and internal company policies.
