About The Position

This position is a seasonal, event-based role, with a primary duration from April-September. The Warehouse Attendant receives, stores, and distributes food service products for the premium catering department operations. This role involves reading production schedules, customer orders, and work orders to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed. The attendant will convey materials from receiving or production areas to storage or other designated areas, placing them on racks, shelves, or in refrigerated rooms. They will also fill requisition orders for materials and products, mark materials with identifying information, and open containers. Recording amounts of materials received or distributed, weighing or counting items, and arranging stock parts are also key duties. The role requires using a computer to enter records, compiling worksheets, and maintaining inventory records. Additionally, the attendant must ensure proper presentation, portion control, and maintenance of serving temperatures, following HACCP standards. A personal commitment to safety and adherence to company policies, including specific safety gear usage (cut gloves, oven mitts, slip-resistant shoes), is essential.

Requirements

  • Use of medium weight cut gloves when handling or using knives, peelers, choppers, mandolins or cleaning a slicer.

  • Use of slip-resistant shoes and proper lifting techniques.

  • Arranges stock parts in specified sequence for assembly by other workers.
  • Uses computer to enter records.
  • Compiles worksheets or tickets from customer specifications.
  • Maintains inventory records.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
