About The Position

We are hiring immediately for a full time WAREHOUSE ATTENDANT position. This role involves receiving, storing, and distributing materials, tools, equipment, and products. The attendant will read production schedules and customer orders to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed. They will convey materials from receiving or production areas to storage or other designated areas, placing them on racks, shelves, bins, or in refrigerated rooms according to a predetermined sequence. The role also includes filling requisitions, assembling customer orders, marking materials with identifying information, opening containers, recording amounts of materials received or distributed, and weighing or counting items. Additionally, the attendant will use a computer to enter records, compile worksheets, drive a vehicle to transport stored items, complete requisition forms, prepare parcels for mailing, maintain inventory records, and perform other assigned duties. A key part of the role is ensuring proper presentation, portion control, and maintenance of serving temperatures, following HACCP standards. The attendant must also commit to personal safety and the safety of others, abiding by all company policies and procedures, including the use of appropriate safety gear like cut gloves, oven mitts, fryer gloves, steamer gloves, and slip-resistant shoes, along with proper lifting techniques.

Requirements

  • Prior warehouse and storage experience is required.
  • Driving experience in bulk food delivery is required.
  • Qualified candidates must be able to perform the essential functions of this position satisfactorily with or without a reasonable accommodation.

Responsibilities

  • Receive and inspect deliveries for quality and temperature compliance, and store products using FIFO standards.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of storage areas, including walk-ins, dry storage, and trailers.
  • Assist with loading cambros and preparing deliveries for routes.
  • Support driver operations as needed in a floater role.
  • Reads production schedule, customer order, work order, shipping order or requisition to determine items to be moved, gathered or distributed.
  • Conveys materials from receiving or production areas to storage or other designated areas.
  • Places materials/goods on racks, shelves and bins or in refrigerated rooms according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color or product code.
  • Fills requisitions, work orders or requests for materials, tools or other stock items and distributes items to production workers or assembly line.
  • Assembles customer orders from stock and places orders on pallets or shelves; conveys orders to packing station or shipping department.
  • Marks materials with identifying information.
  • Opens bales, crates and other containers.
  • Records amounts of materials or items received or distributed.
  • Weighs or counts items for distribution within plant to ensure conformance to company standards.
  • Arranges stock parts in specified sequence for assembly by other workers.
  • Uses computer to enter records.
  • Compiles worksheets or tickets from customer specifications.
  • Drives vehicle to transport stored items or to pick up items.
  • Completes requisition forms to order supplies from other plant departments.
  • Prepares parcels for mailing.
  • Maintains inventory records.
  • Ensures proper presentation, portion control and maintenance of serving temperatures; follows HACCP standards.

  • Abides by all Company policies and procedures including but not limited to: The use of a medium weight cut gloves when handling or using knives, peelers, choppers, mandolins or cleaning a slicer. The use of oven mitts, fryer gloves or steamer gloves when handling hot pans from ovens, warmers or steamtables. The use of slip-resistant shoes and proper lifting techniques.
