About The Position

The Warehouse Attendant receives, stores, and distributes materials, tools, equipment, and products. The role involves moving inventory to designated areas, organizing and tracking stock, fulfilling requisitions and customer orders, and supporting production and shipping activities. The attendant also follows food safety and handling standards, maintains serving temperatures and portion control, and is personally committed to workplace safety and the safety of others.

Responsibilities

Read production schedules, customer orders, work orders, shipping orders, or requisitions to determine items to move, gather, or distribute.
Move materials from receiving or production areas to storage or other designated areas.
Place goods on racks, shelves, bins, or in refrigerated rooms according to predetermined sequences and product attributes.
Fill requisitions, work orders, or requests for materials, tools, and other stock items, and distribute items to production workers or assembly lines.
Assemble customer orders from stock, place orders on pallets or shelves, and convey them to packing or shipping.
Mark materials with identifying information.
Open bales, crates, and other containers.
Record quantities of materials or items received or distributed.
Weigh or count items for distribution to ensure they meet company standards.
Arrange stock parts in the specified sequence for assembly by other workers.
Use a computer to enter records.
Compile worksheets or tickets from customer specifications.
Drive a vehicle to transport stored items or pick up items.
Complete requisition forms to order supplies from other plant departments.
Prepare parcels for mailing.
Maintain inventory records.
Ensure proper presentation and portion control, maintain serving temperatures, and follow HACCP standards.
Follow company safety policies and procedures, including the use of appropriate cut-resistant gloves, protective gloves for handling hot items, slip-resistant shoes, and proper lifting techniques.
Perform other duties as assigned.
