About The Position

The Warehouse Attendant (2nd Shift) is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and functionality of facilities and equipment, operating forklifts and other machinery, and operating the cleaning machine. This role involves performing maintenance and housekeeping tasks, assisting with material handling, and collaborating with team members to meet production goals while adhering to safety policies and company core values.

Requirements

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, volume, and weights.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Able to deal with problems with several concrete variables in standard situations.
  • Must be able to think quickly and perform a mental assessment of workplace hazards, take appropriate precautions, and choose appropriate PPE as dictated by need, regulation and labeling.
  • Frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms, talk or hear, taste or smell; stand; walk; sit and climb; or balance.
  • Required to regularly stand or sit for long periods of time.
  • Occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Must frequently lift and/or move up to 65 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
  • May occasionally need to climb ladders (may range from 5’ to 30’).
  • May include climbing into large vehicles and/or tractors.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience related to grain, feed, fertilizer, chemicals and/or farms supplies is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform maintenance and housekeeping tasks to ensure the cleanliness and organization of facilities and equipment as assigned.
  • Operate forklifts and other machinery to assist with material handling and movement within the facility.
  • Utilize cleaning machines and perform related operation tasks.
  • Assist with loading and unloading materials, ensuring accuracy and proper handling procedures.
  • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to complete tasks efficiently and meet production goals.
  • Adherence to safety policies.
  • Providing a high level of customer service.
  • Promoting and adhering to the company Core Values of honesty, integrity & teamwork.
  • Adhering to cooperative credit policy.
  • Securing facilities and equipment when closing.
  • Promptly and regularly report to work and work overtime hours as needed.
