About The Position

We are looking for Summer Vacation Replacements (SVR) to join our Woodstock Parts Distribution Center (PDC)! As part of the Woodstock Parts Distribution Center (PDC), you will be scheduled on a temporary basis providing summer vacation coverage to safely perform production assignments in our fast-paced warehousing environment. You are a motivated and self-disciplined team player who shares our core values: Customers, Relationships, Excellence and Seek Truth, and you are able to function safely in our Woodstock Parts Distribution Center (PDC) team environment. NOTE: Only students who are enrolled in a full-time post-secondary educational institution are eligible for consideration. Proof of enrollment/registration is required. Please read the following requirements for the SVR (Summer Student) position to ensure you are prepared to meet these expectations.

Requirements

Must be able to satisfactorily complete the General Motors hiring process requirements which include an Interview and background check.
At least 18 years of age.
Eligible to work in Canada.
Must be enrolled full-time in a post-secondary educational institution.
Proof of Enrolment is required: For a proof of enrolment document to be valid, it must be issued from the institution and contain all of the below: Full name of student, School name (letterhead, school logo or website address), Academic term and year enrolled / start and (expected) end date of the course, Date issued, Program of study. Examples of valid documents, either is acceptable: Enrolment letter, Timetable or course schedule, Electronic document (email or screenshot of above).

Responsibilities

Ability to work on a temporary full-time basis providing summer vacation coverage.
Must be available to work any/all shifts to support the Woodstock Parts Distribution Center (PDC) production schedule.
Saturday shifts and other overtime may be required.
Report for work on-time for all scheduled shifts to support Woodstock Operations, throughput and quality goals.
An exemplary level of safety awareness and compliance.

Demonstrate professional and respectful behaviour.
Ability to read, interpret and adhere to documents such as safety rules, standard operating procedures, work instructions, procedure manuals, and policies.
