About The Position

Broad River Retail is hiring multiple Warehouse Associates for its Operations Team at the SALEM DISTRIBUTION CENTER in Salem, OR. The company emphasizes training and development to provide a premier customer experience. The available roles include Furniture Equipment Operator (responsible for operating RF scanners and material handling equipment), Furniture Handler (responsible for loading/unloading, scanning products, and assessing merchandise for damages), and Furniture Prep & Assembler (responsible for assembling furniture).

Requirements

Manual dexterity and the capacity to maneuver furniture.
Ability to listen to and follow directions and instructions.
Ability to lift 75lbs repeatedly throughout the shift.
Customer service and physical labor mindset.
Oral communication and listening skills.
Ability to work well with a team.
Adaptability for changes in the work environment.

Responsibilities

Loading & unloading trucks at the warehouse loading dock without damaging products.
Unload furniture manually or with hand trucks.
Identify and communicate any physical damages.
Sort unloaded items onto carts by size, type, or product code.
Use RF scanner to systematically receive inventory.
Maintain building, grounds, and equipment cleanliness.
Exhibit personal excellence by accepting cross-training opportunities.
Maintain personal and facility safety by following all material handling and warehouse safety guidelines.
Operating recycling machinery.
Sorting and processing dunnage.
Follow company attendance policy.
All other duties as assigned.
