About The Position

The Warehouse Associate position in Talladega, AL is a critical role focused on ensuring the efficient receipt, storage, and distribution of goods within the facility. The successful candidate will play a key part in maintaining inventory accuracy, organizing stock, and preparing orders for shipment to meet customer demands. This role requires attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols to maintain a secure and productive work environment.

In addition to warehouse responsibilities, this position will occasionally assist with customer deliveries using a company box truck. The ideal candidate will have experience operating delivery vehicles, maintain a safe driving record, and demonstrate a willingness to support delivery operations as business needs require. The Warehouse Associate will collaborate with team members and supervisors to optimize workflow and support operational goals. Ultimately, this position contributes directly to supply chain effectiveness and customer satisfaction by ensuring the timely and accurate handling and delivery of products.

Requirements

• Ability to lift and move heavy objects up to 50 pounds regularly.
• Basic math skills and ability to read and understand shipping documents.
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
• Experience operating a box truck or other commercial delivery vehicle.
• Willingness and ability to make local deliveries as needed.
• Ability to follow safety procedures and work effectively in a team setting.
• Must be insurable under the company's vehicle insurance policy and maintain a satisfactory driving record.

Nice To Haves

• Forklift certification or experience operating warehouse equipment.
• Familiarity with inventory management software or warehouse management systems (WMS).
• Familiarity with Profit 21 is a plus.
• CDL Class A or Class B license is a plus, but not required.
• Previous delivery driving experience in a customer-facing environment.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Good communication skills to coordinate with customers, team members, and supervisors.
• Experience in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
• Prior experience in a warehouse or similar environment.

Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and packing lists.
• Organize and store inventory in designated locations to maximize space and accessibility.
• Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment according to company standards and customer requirements.
• Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks safely and efficiently.
• Load and secure products for safe transport and delivery.
• Operate a company box truck to complete local deliveries as needed.
• Verify deliveries, obtain required documentation, and provide excellent customer service during delivery interactions.
• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the warehouse to comply with safety and operational guidelines.
• Conduct regular inventory counts and report discrepancies to management.
• Collaborate with team members to meet daily operational targets and deadlines.
