About The Position

As a Warehouse Associate at Caterpillar Inc., you will be part of a global team dedicated to building stronger, more sustainable communities and driving progress and innovation. This role involves working from various source documents to verify part numbers, locations, and quantities. Key tasks include counting parts, filling orders, and conducting initial quality assessments for damage and defects. Warehouse Associates perform a wide array of material handling and warehouse functions, such as order filling, processing, storing/picking parts, materials, and supplies. The position also requires operating heavy equipment like reach trucks, forklifts, and overhead cranes, as well as automated packaging equipment, paint line operations, and shipping and receiving duties.

Requirements

  • 1 year continuous employment with a previous or current job
  • Experience working with written instructions for a given task (standard work/operating procedures)
  • Basic experience with computers (capable of functioning independently)

Nice To Haves

  • Equipment experience preferred
  • Basic computer/tablet knowledge preferred

Responsibilities

  • Work from a variety of source documents to verify part numbers, part locations and quantities
  • Count parts and fill orders
  • Conduct first line, basic quality assessment of parts for damage and defects
  • Utilize heavy equipment, reach trucks, forklifts and overhead cranes
  • Perform material handling and warehouse functions including order filling, processing, storing/picking parts, materials and supplies
  • Operate automated packaging equipment
  • Perform paint line operation
  • Perform shipping and receiving
