Warehouse Associate
About The Position
The Warehouse Associate is responsible and accountable for receiving and off-loading materials, verifying counts to purchase orders, sorting stock materials from job materials, checking shipments for damage, and ensuring all material is placed in its appropriate areas. This role also involves staging material for installation, shipment, or customer pick up, assisting internal and external customers with pickup and loading, and utilizing company-specific software to maintain accurate inventory. The associate will use hand tools, mechanical equipment, and motorized equipment safely and effectively, make deliveries as needed, maintain a clean and safe work environment, and assist with special projects and deliveries as assigned.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Willingness to adhere to assigned routes, schedules, safety procedures, and transportation laws.
- Strong time management and customer service skills.
- Ability to walk, drive, and lift and carry heavy items throughout the day.
- Attention to detail.
- Pre-employment drug screen and background check.
- Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 lbs and occasionally lift and/or move up to more than 75 lbs with assistance.
Nice To Haves
- Prior Experience driving a box truck in a shipping/receiving/delivery environment is a plus
Responsibilities
