About The Position

Located at our River City Discount facility in Wyoming, MI location, the person in this position would assist with receipt/transfer of incoming product and displaying it in an organized manner as well as assisting customers with selection and loading. This position allows the opportunity to assist in multiple areas and learn a variety of skills. This position offers a $150 clothing allowance to offset costs for work apparel, protective footwear, and PPE. At Lumbermen’s, our business is built on relationships. Requirements

• High school diploma
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
• Safe working practices
• Accuracy and detail-orientation
• Ability to safely operate a hilo (training is available)
• Prior sales and/or retail experience
• Heavy lifting of up to 75 lbs with occasional lifting of greater weights (stone countertops or trick parts)
• Ability to be on feet 8 hours per day
• Ability to transition easily between indoor and outdoor work in all weather conditions

Nice To Haves

• Prior warehouse experience is preferred

Responsibilities

• Unloading incoming product and verifying product against packing lists
• Sorting product and displaying it in the warehouse
• Constructing displays, as needed
• Assisting customers with product selections, pricing, and answering questions
• Writing up orders and processing purchase transactions
• Assisting customers with loading of purchases into vehicles, as needed
• Helping to keep the warehouse and grounds clean and presentable
• Assisting other employee owners/divisions as requested
• Performing other tasks as assigned by the Warehouse Supervisor
• Picking and pulling orders for transfer trucks
