About The Position

The Warehouse Associate pulls, packs, and ships products to assure customer orders are accurately filled and shipped on a timely basis. This role involves receiving and unloading incoming material, sorting, counting, packaging, and unpacking inbound and outbound material. The associate will use handheld barcode scanners, pull orders accurately, and prepare shipments for transporting. They will also operate a forklift, build pallets, maintain pallet racks and aisles, and perform housekeeping and building maintenance duties. Compliance with safety regulations is essential.

Responsibilities

  • Receives and unloads incoming material and verifies information on a packing slip to the purchase order verifying the accuracy of the shipment; may process return shipments from customers
  • Sorts, counts, packages, unpacks inbound and outbound material
  • Uses handheld barcode scanners to complete all necessary inbound and outbound material documents
  • Pulls orders accurately through completion. Stages loading and unloading area with material
  • Cuts aluminum and brush within required tolerances in accordance with production order guidelines. Inspects material used noting any damage or defect and notifying a supervisor or purchasing personnel
  • Fills and maintains bins and racks, checks inventory levels maintaining all warehouse inventory and records
  • Prepares shipments for transporting; determines the most economical and efficient shipping method. Selects appropriate shipping container; packs product to ensure safe deliver
  • Enters data for UPS orders
  • Operates forklift, loads and unload trucks
  • Builds pallets
  • Maintains pallet racks and aisles
  • Operates punch press
  • Performs housekeeping and building maintenance duties
  • Assures compliance with all safety related regulations
  • Bands and wraps skids; makes boxes
  • Assists with inventory management; performs physical inventory
  • Serves as a member of the warehouse team, provides assistance as needed
  • Keeps supervisor inform on key issues
