About The Position

Cornerstone Building Brands is seeking a Warehouse Associate to assist in the warehouse by crating, pulling product, and unloading trucks. The Associate will ensure that orders are filled accurately for customer satisfaction and that cartons shipped are structurally sound and suitable for sale by visually inspecting cartons, repairing and reboxing as needed. This role involves assisting with various aspects of warehouse operations, including crating, pulling product, and unloading trucks, loading loose cartons into trucks to ensure stability during shipment, and building crates from wooden materials around cartons of product in preparation for shipment by flatbeds. The Associate will also repair or reseal damaged cartons, or rebox product when necessary, consolidate all accessory and siding products on storage racks when needed, and perform daily preventive maintenance and safety checks on motorized equipment. Additionally, the role includes performing warehouse maintenance and housekeeping, attending scheduled staff meetings with the Distribution Supervisor if necessary, performing basic duties of Warehouse Associate 2 at times, and maintaining an accurate time card daily and calculating on a weekly basis. Active participation in all plant safety programs is also required.

Requirements

No experience necessary; mechanical aptitude helpful.
Basic knowledge of shipping process helpful.
Must have good eye/hand coordination.
Excellent manual dexterity including a skill to use hand and electrical tools.
Ability to read and comprehend numbers.
Ability to lift up to 86 pounds on a continual basis above shoulder height and below the waist and lift 87 to 100 lbs with assistance.
Must be detailed oriented.
Possess good communication skills.
Interact well with others.
Must be able to separate product by profiling color.
Must be proficient in the use of a claw hammer, pneumatic nail gun, pneumatic bander, and an electric skill saw.
Safety glasses and ear plugs must be utilized as instructed.
Must be willing to obtain a license to operate motorized equipment.
If applicable, may need to be certified to operate a crane.
Perform all duties and responsibilities in a safe manner in accordance with applicable Health and Safety Manuals.
Required to wear or use personal protective equipment as applicable and to immediately report unsafe working conditions.
Must be at least 18 years of age to apply.

Responsibilities

Perform basic duties of Warehouse Associate 2 at times, based upon ability and experience.
Maintain an accurate time card daily and calculate on a weekly basis.
Actively participate in all plant safety programs, depending on location.
