About The Position

Under close supervision, this role involves following oral and written work orders for loading and unloading product from trucks. The associate will coordinate and consolidate product flow within the warehouse, ensuring proper placement in designated zones/bins. Responsibilities include picking and packing orders, transporting product between storage and trucks, and storing items for easy access. The use of a forklift is required for storing and relocating merchandise.

Requirements

• One to two (1 - 2) years experience in a warehouse environment.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Forklift certified and able to operate material handling equipment (sit down and stand up forklift).
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs on a regular basis.
• Able to read, write and speak English.
• Basic mathematical skills.
• Ability to reason logically, use common sense, and resolve issues independently.
• Ability to handle pieces of freight that weight 50 lbs. on a regular basis.
• Ability to operate material handling equipment, i.e. forklift, sit down and stand up.
• Ability to accomplish projects with little or no supervision.
• Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to reason and resolve some issues independently.
• Must be able to build on a culture of respect, professionalism, and integrity.
• Respond to multiple and often shifting priorities with a strong sense of urgency and professionalism.
• Frequent contact with Distribution Center/Warehouse employees within the organization.
• Must be able to communicate effectively in a professional manner.
• Walking, standing, hearing, seeing, moving, driving, reaching, stooping.

• Survey lift equipment and note any issues.
• Load and unload product from trucks using a forklift.
• Ensure accuracy and damage-free product during loading/unloading.
• Pick and pack orders and ship through UPS or Fed-X.
• Report completion of assignments and maintain safe, clean warehouse conditions.
• Perform additional clerical duties as assigned.
