About The Position

The Assoc II, Warehouse Ops assists with inbound or outbound warehouse activities as requested by the Warehouse Supervisor, meeting quality, safety, productivity, and operational standards. Inbound work involves receiving products into the facility, while outbound work involves shipping products to customers. Warehouse Operations handles the manual or automated tasks required to receive, store, and ship products, supporting the efficient flow of goods from vendor receipt through shipment to internal and external customers. This is a full-time, first-shift position scheduled Monday through Friday from 5:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. or until completion. Overtime is mandatory until all shift tasks are completed. The anticipated hourly pay range is $20.61 to $23.70, based on experience; the role is not bonus eligible. Pay is determined by factors including location, education, experience, skills, and internal pay equity.

Requirements

Frequently lift up to 50 pounds.
Ability to bend, reach, stoop, lift, and stand for the entire shift.
Comfort working regularly at heights of 20–30 feet.
Ability to work overtime with little to no advance notice.
Ability to follow directions and change priorities while working independently or as part of a team.
Aptitude for working in a fast-paced warehouse environment while meeting hourly performance standards.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Willingness to learn to operate material handling equipment and rotate into various warehouse areas.
Follow site safety regulations, including wearing required personal protective equipment such as steel-toed safety shoes and a material handling equipment safety harness, and comply with Cardinal Health EHS and QRA policies and procedures.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma, GED, equivalent, or equivalent work experience is preferred.
Previous material handling equipment (PIT) experience is preferred.
Radio frequency (RF) scanner and/or voice-to-pick experience is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

Follow established Standard Operating Procedures to process orders, including accurately picking, performing quality control checks, sorting, consolidating freight, building and wrapping pallets, packing, loading, and preparing orders for shipment.
Pick large-case items using material handling equipment or pick small-unit items and place them on designated carts.
Cross-train in multiple warehouse areas and participate in projects as needed.
Use the Warehouse Management System to check in and/or send out products; follow storage regulations for refrigerated specialty products.
Operate material handling equipment as required, such as order pickers, forklifts, reach trucks, turret trucks, pallet jacks, and walkie riders.
Complete housekeeping and inventory control tasks and maintain a clean, safe work environment.
Work on routine assignments requiring problem resolution.
Participate in associate meetings and communicate concerns to management.
Perform job duties in accordance with OSHA standards and organizational policies, rules, regulations, and procedures.
Unload inbound trucks using a pallet jack or equivalent device to move pallets out of trucks.
Store products in warehouse locations using an order picker or other devices.
Pick products from warehouse locations and load them into outbound trucks.
