About The Position

This position responds to high volume by receiving, unloading trucks and replenishing stock to ensure orders are ready for delivery within the required timeframe for all job functions. The Warehouse Associate will inspect assigned equipment, charge pallet jack batteries, report problems to their supervisor, and ensure correct counts and temperature information before moving products to proper zones. They will operate various warehouse equipment safely to fill orders with commercially acceptable products, put proper labels on products, break down incoming goods, use acceptable quality pallets, and carefully organize items for safety and security. The role involves delivering pallets to correct temperature locations, arranging items as they will be put away, meeting established standards for productivity, quality, damage, and safety, and maintaining a safe, organized workplace. The associate will follow pallet jack operating requirements, use designated traffic patterns, put damaged products in allocated areas, remove broken pallets and debris from warehouse aisles, and wear required safety equipment. They will complete receiving, unloading, and replenishment activities in all warehouse locations (Dry, Cooler, Freezer), perform housekeeping, maintenance, and other assigned tasks, attend all required company meetings, and adhere to all safety practices and company policies.

Requirements

  • Must be able to be certified on all equipment used on shift by Kuna Foodservice.
  • Must have a high school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Must be at least 18 years of ages.
  • Must be able to read, write and communicate in English.
  • Must have sufficient reasoning capabilities to solve practical problems (Ex.: Is product commercially acceptable? Is this the product the customer ordered?)
  • Must be able to hear commands given via pick-to-voice application.
  • Must have basic math skills.
  • Must be able to work in a variety of temperatures. (From -10 to 55+ degrees)
  • Must be able to work overtime, as required.

Responsibilities

  • Inspects assigned equipment before using
  • Follows designated checklist
  • Charges pallet jack battery as needed

  • Inspects optical scanner to ensure proper operation
  • Ensure correct counts and temperature information before moving to proper zones
  • Operate various warehouse equipment safely necessary to fill orders with commercially acceptable products from specified locations within the warehouse.
  • Puts proper labels on products ensuring labels are visible
  • Breaks down incoming goods
  • Carefully organizes items so they are safe/secure; placing Heaviest items on the bottom
  • Delivers pallets to correct temperature locations
  • Arrange in order as they will be put away
  • Meet established standards; productivity, quality, damage and safety
  • Maintain safe, organized workplace
  • Follows pallet jack operating requirements
  • Uses designated traffic patterns
