About The Position
Wurth Baer Supply Company is seeking a Warehouse Order Picker and Packer for their Distribution Center in Vernon Hills, IL. This is a full-time, direct-hire position with year-round work. The role involves picking and packing orders, loading and unloading trailers, and operating equipment like pallet jacks and cherry pickers. The company is a leading specialty wholesale distributor to the woodworking industry, with significant annual revenue and a global parent company.
Requirements
- 1+ year of warehouse experience in a receiving position with similar duties
- Good communication skills
- Basic computer knowledge
- Sit-down forklift experience
Nice To Haves
- Forklift experience is a plus
- Cherry Picker experience is a plus (order picker with harness)
Responsibilities
- Pick and pack orders on foot with a hand card
- Utilize pallet jack
- Load and unload trailers
- Operate cherry picker with harness to pick or put away materials in the racks (also known as order picker vehicle)
- Roll and pack 3x3 laminate sheets
