About The Position
F.H. Furr Plumbing, Heating, Air Conditioning, and Electrical Inc. is seeking a full-time Warehouse Associate for their Rockville, MD location. This is a temporary summer position, active from Mid May to August, to assist during the company's peak season. The role involves supporting the warehouse team in maintaining efficiency, precision, and reliability in residential home services.
Requirements
- Prior experience in a warehouse or logistics role
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects, sometimes in confined spaces
- Proficiency in using warehouse management software or similar systems
- A commitment to safety and following warehouse protocols
- Valid Driver's License
- Must be at least 21 years old
Nice To Haves
- Experience in a similar industry is a plus
Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, and accurately record incoming shipments
- Organize and maintain the warehouse, ensuring materials are easily accessible
- Assist with inventory control, including cycle counts and periodic audits
- Prepare materials for jobs, ensuring accuracy and completeness
- Collaborate with the team to fulfill requests for parts and equipment
- Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently
- Assist with deliveries to technicians in the field
