About The Position

Veterinary Purchasing Co. Ltd. (VP) is seeking dedicated and dependable Warehouse Associates to help launch and grow its new Moncton operation. This role is a unique opportunity to be part of building a safe, accurate, and efficient warehouse from day one. Under the direction of the Warehouse Manager and Warehouse Supervisor, the Warehouse Associate performs receiving, inventory, order-processing, and shipping duties. The position supports the accurate and efficient movement of products from receipt through final shipment while maintaining inventory accuracy, product quality, and a clean, organized, and safe working environment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent (CAEC).
  • Reliable attendance, punctuality and the ability to work the full Sunday-to-Thursday schedule.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated versatility and willingness to learn and perform receiving, inventory, order-processing and shipping functions.
  • Ability to adapt to changing operational priorities and move effectively between warehouse responsibilities.
  • Ability to work safely with minimal supervision or as part of a small team.
  • Walk and stand for the duration of the shift
  • Repetitively lift, carry and handle products weighing up to 50 lbs (23 kg)
  • Bend, reach, climb, push and pull while safely completing warehouse tasks
  • Work in varying warehouse temperatures

Nice To Haves

  • Warehouse, order-picking or material-handling experience is an asset but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Unload incoming shipments using appropriate material-handling equipment
  • Verify products against purchase orders and packing slips, identifying shortages, damage, expiry concerns and other discrepancies
  • Record receipts, inventory movements and product locations accurately using handheld scanners and warehouse systems
  • Label, store and rotate products in the appropriate locations according to FIFO/FEFO and regulated-product requirements
  • Replenish picking locations and maintain accurate, organized inventory throughout the warehouse
  • Pick and verify customer orders to ensure the correct products and quantities are selected
  • Pack and label orders to protect products during transportation and prepare them for shipment
  • Operate pallet trucks, lift trucks and other warehouse equipment as licensed, or complete required training
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work environment and perform other related warehouse duties as assigned
  • Works in compliance with the Occupational Health & Safety Act and follows VP’s policies and procedures
  • Conducts self with regard for the safety of all employees
  • Participates in required health and safety training and meetings, takes part in emergency drills, and understands emergency response and evacuation procedures
  • Reports any health & safety violations or hazards to Supervisor and/or Manager
  • Follows and understands all relevant Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) with respect to Good Manufacturing Practices and Transportation of Dangerous Goods
