About The Position

The Warehouse Associate is responsible for managing materials and inventory within the warehouse. This includes receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping goods. The role requires operating various types of equipment, maintaining accurate records, and adhering to safety and quality standards. The associate will utilize the Warehouse Management System (WMS) to ensure data accuracy and will be involved in tasks related to food safety and quality monitoring.

Requirements

Willingness to operate various types of forklifts.
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or six to twelve months related experience and/or training.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as production schedules, inventory reports, sales forecasts, safety rules, motor carrier regulations, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Proficient typing and computer skills including knowledge of Internet software; Inventory software; Order processing systems; Spreadsheet software (MS Excel), Word Processing software (MS Word) and Email software (Office 365).
Knowledge of and competence in the use of Warehouse Management System software and hardware, including handheld scanning devices.
Must attain within seven (7) working days of initial hire or placement in this position and maintain a current and valid forklift and pallet jack operator's license.
Regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear.
Occasionally required to stand and walk.
Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Forklift experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Convey materials and items from receiving or production areas to storage or to other designated areas.
Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequences.
Sort and store perishable goods in refrigerated rooms or freezers.
Respond to requests for materials, tools, or other stock items and distribute them.
Assemble customer orders from stock and place them on pallets or shelves or convey them to packing/shipping.
Mark materials with identifying information and record amounts of materials or items received or distributed.
Utilize the Warehouse Management System (WMS) to reflect production, shipping, receiving, and inventory data.
Ship finished product and complete all related documentation.
Receive raw materials and complete all related documentation.
Complete all Trailer Inspections and related documentation.
Monitor job tasks to ensure food safety and quality and report any concerns.
Weigh or count items for distribution within the plant.
Arrange stock materials in a specified sequence for assembly.
Drive a vehicle to transport stored items or pick up items for shipment.
Prepare samples or other parcels for mailing.
Follow policies and procedures and use equipment and materials properly.
Observe safety and security procedures and report potentially unsafe conditions.
Maintain inventory records and perform cycle counts as necessary.
