About The Position

This role involves performing all warehouse functions, including preparing shipments, unloading/loading trucks, driving, and assisting Operations Personnel. The position requires flexibility for day or night shifts, Sunday through Saturday. Responsibilities include ensuring an uninterrupted supply of products, loading and unloading trucks, following SOPs, pulling and staging orders, operating company vehicles, performing repackaging, participating in meetings, completing paperwork, communicating with various personnel, operating stock management tools, performing cycle counts, maintaining inventory records, ensuring a clean and safe facility, reporting incidents, and shutting down the facility securely. The role also includes other duties and projects as assigned by management.

Requirements

  • Previous filling/packaging warehouse experience.
  • Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be at least 21 years old.
  • Ability to read and speak English sufficiently to converse with the general public and to understand traffic signs, to make entries on reports and records.
  • Knowledge of procedures to secure cargo in or on a commercial vehicle.
  • Ability to successfully complete the forklift certification test.

Responsibilities

  • Work with Lead Warehouse person to ensure uninterruptible supply for our customers in a timely and safe manner.
  • Unload and load product in and out of intercompany, package, and bulk trucks for next business day’s orders.
  • Follow proper SOP for loading, unloading, and flushing trucks/trailers.
  • Pull and stage/load the next day’s orders using the WMS to locate and pull products accurately.
  • Operate a vehicle on McPherson’s site(s) in a manner compliant with company policy and procedure and compliant with DOT.
  • Perform drumming requirements and other repackaging products within company guidelines to meet customer’s needs, as necessary.
  • Participate in shift opening meetings and contribute ideas on ways to improve or optimize warehousing procedures.
  • Prepare, complete, and submit required paperwork by the end of each shift.
  • Communicate with all Operations Personnel, Dispatchers, Fleet Maintenance Manager, and assist them as required.
  • Operate stock management tools; for example, a forklift, pallet jack etc.
  • Perform cycle counts and keep inventory records as necessary.
  • Help maintain a clean and safe facility.
  • Report any accidents, spills, or other problems to the manager immediately.
  • Ensure the facility is properly shut down, including locking all doors and gates at the end of the shift.
  • Complete other duties and projects as assigned by management.
