Jaeckle Distributors has a great opportunity for a full time Warehouse Associate in Madison, WI. This is a hands-on warehouse role with a company that values people, safety, accuracy, and teamwork. Responsibilities

  • Using forklift equipment, accurately pick items from designated warehouse bin locations based on pick-label information.
  • Use RF scan guns for items, locations, and other picking-critical details.
  • Verify the correct item, quantity, condition, and packaging against pick label.
  • Report inventory discrepancies, damages, or missing stock to the warehouse supervisor when discovered.
  • Unload inbound deliveries from small parcels to full truckloads, and position product in the correct areas safely and efficiently.
  • Load shipments (LTL, FTL, and parcel) verifying count, labeling, and shipment details.
  • Build, organize, and/or wrap pallets for shipment.
  • Verify pallet and piece counts, inspect deliveries for damage and report to floor supervisor.
  • Collect delivery documentation and provide to operation for processing.
  • Check that material picked matches order information in the computer system.
  • Package parcel shipment orders, box and pack to protect against damage.
  • Measure parcel size, shape, and weight and record package details into the automated system to process.
  • Add shipping labels, print and include packing lists where documentation is required for accounting and customer records, adding relevant shipping notes to orders when needed.
  • Receive oversized pallet shipments and assist in checking material into inventory.
  • Handle and package sheet and trim material into boxes and cardboard tubes without damage.
  • Pick and palatalize oversized material for order delivery as needed.
  • As needed serve as a 'spotter' for material handling of large special size materials, and assist with other loading/unloading as needed.
  • Uphold Jaeckle’s core values.
  • Maintain a safe and clear workspace, empty garbage and dispose of packing materials.
  • Communicate professionally with all Jaeckle personnel, service providers, and customers.
  • Support Pick-Up (will-call) activities by picking orders, loading customers, and ensuring customer completes paperwork.
  • Reliable attendance (mandatory), 40 hours per week.
