About The Position

Warehouse associates will be responsible for the direct movement of materials and supplies for order completion and inventory control within their assigned area. The main job function will be unloading floor loaded containers onto pallets with given TI-HI instructions, maintain a clean work area, work with production on labeling and packing when needed.

Requirements

  • Must be able to read and speak in English.
  • Must be able to perform basic math functions.
  • Good organizational and planning skills.
  • Good work ethic and planning skills.
  • Able to follow directions and communicate with others.
  • Must be physically and mentally able to work required shift.
  • Lifts items up to 45 lbs or team lift if over 45 lbs.
  • Constantly required to identify color coded safety & warning areas/notices (most colored yellow and red and some in small print) in order to maintain a safe work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Matching packing slips with purchase orders and receiving them into the computer.
  • Working in production areas (Hand pack, bagging, etc.).
  • Loading and unloading of trailers at the docks as assigned.
  • Properly tagging/labeling received goods.
  • Processing daily assignments accurately and timely.
  • Meeting and maintaining production and quality standards.
  • Sweeping floors and maintaining a tidy work area.
  • Adhering to all company work rules.
  • Adhering to all safety rules and practices.
  • Maintaining a positive work environment by acting and communicating in a manner so that you get along with customers, clients, coworkers and management.
  • Other duties as assigned such as unloading containers or working in other departments.
  • Unloading floor loaded containers onto pallets with given TI-HI instructions.
  • Hand wrapping pallets with a provided film roll so that they don’t fall when unloaded from the container by the forklift driver.
  • Constantly recognizing product types and sizes according to provided picklist while unloading containers and reporting any shortages or damages to lead person.
  • Identifying and reacting to potential hazards.
