1st Shift Warehouse Associate
About The Position
Famous Supply is seeking a purpose-driven, growth-oriented Warehouse Associate to join their team. This role is ideal for high-performers who are looking for more than just a job. The starting wage is between $19.00 - $20.00 per hour, with shifts from Monday to Friday starting at 6:00 am and opportunities for overtime. Warehouse associates will handle large products such as water heaters, furnaces, and showers, and are responsible for various tasks including unloading trucks, receiving and putting away material, picking and staging customer orders, and loading delivery trucks. The company is a wholesale distributor serving contractors, builders, and remodelers in multiple segments and has been a family-owned business since 1933, committed to treating associates like family.
Requirements
- Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
- Ability to stand on feet for majority of a 10-hour day
- Must be capable of working at heights of up to 30 feet
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Nice To Haves
- Reach truck and high-reach Order Picker experience
- Building industry experience and requisite product knowledge
- Experience working in a warehouse
- Experience using RF Scanners
Responsibilities
- Unloading trucks
- Receiving material
- Put-away of material
- Picking customer orders
- Staging customer orders for delivery
- Loading customer delivery trucks
- Ensuring product is handled with care to prevent damage
- Attention to detail to ensure warehouse tasks are done accurately
- Keeping warehouse clean, neat and organized
