Warehouse Associate - 2nd Shift
About The Position
Kane's Furniture is seeking a motivated and dependable Warehouse Associate to join our team in a fast-paced furniture distribution center. The ideal candidate will be responsible for key warehouse functions, including shipping, receiving, quality assurance, and general warehouse operations, while maintaining a safe and organized work environment. Applicants should be comfortable performing physical warehouse work including lifting furniture and loading or unloading delivery trucks as part of the daily workflow. Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous warehouse or distribution center experience is a plus, especially in furniture or heavy goods handling.
- Ability to regularly lift and maneuver furniture and materials weighing 150+ pounds, with or without assistance.
- Capable of standing, walking, lifting, bending, and reaching throughout the shift.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality are a must.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends or overtime as needed.
- Employment offers are contingent on successful completion of a 7-year criminal background check and pre-employment drug screening.
Nice To Haves
- Previous warehouse or distribution center experience is a plus, especially in furniture or heavy goods handling.
Responsibilities
- Move merchandise throughout the warehouse, transporting product between receiving, storage, staging, and shipping areas
- Load and unload delivery trucks and trailers safely and efficiently
- Lift, carry, and position furniture and warehouse merchandise for storage and delivery preparation
- Pick, pack, and stage customer orders for shipment and delivery routes
- Receive incoming shipments, count and verify items, and record inventory as required
- Inspect merchandise for damage or defects and report discrepancies
- Package, label, and tag merchandise before storage or shipment
- Prepare outgoing shipments and confirm orders are accurate and complete
- Complete shipping documentation and delivery manifests
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment
- Follow all company safety procedures and quality standards
