About The Position

The AHFH ReStore Warehouse Associate is responsible for receiving, sorting, processing and pricing donated merchandise in a fast-paced warehouse environment. This role ensures timely movement of goods to the sales floor, provides excellent donor service and supports store operations.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED; or 4 years of related experience
Strong communication, problem-solving and time-management skills
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50lbs.
Specific vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus are required.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience working in a warehouse, donation center, construction, or retail environment
Experience safely handling, moving, and staging furniture, appliances, or building materials
Familiarity with basic warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks, dollies, or hand trucks

Responsibilities

Provide exceptional customer and donor service; greet donors and issue receipts
Adheres to all organizational safety policies and procedures, including OSHA guidelines, and actively contributes to maintaining a safe warehouse environment.
Safely unload donations and operate warehouse equipment (forklift, pallet jack, dollies).
Sort, process and price merchandise according to company standards; identify high-value and recyclable items.
Maintain accurate donation records and oversee recycling bins
Ensure merchandise is expedited to the sales floor promptly.
Assist with loading/unloading trucks and perform housekeeping duties
Comply with all security and organizational policies.
Work flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays
Cross train and assist in other store functions as needed
Perform other duties as assigned
