About The Position

Sid Harvey’s, an HVAC wholesale distributor of heating, cooling, and refrigeration equipment and products, is seeking a full-time Warehouse Associate for its Queensbury, NY location. This role provides excellent customer service by assisting customers promptly and courteously with their purchases and efficient processing of their orders. The associate will use proper safety measures, especially when driving, loading, and transporting products and equipment. All job responsibilities must be performed in a safe, timely, and efficient manner while representing Sid Harvey’s professionally.

Requirements

Must be able to pass a Drug Test.
Ability to conduct self in a professional and ethical manner at all times.
Ability to treat external and internal customers and associates with courtesy and respect.
Ability to continuously update product knowledge through any available resources.
Ability to stay informed and educated as to product inventory and applicability.
Ability to know location of merchandise in warehouse.
Ability to accurately fill customer orders as needed by retrieving requested material.
Ability to accurately and safely load & unload trucks as needed.
Ability to check in and put away material, verifying quantities and quality of received material.
Ability to maintain clear aisles and walkways.
Ability to ensure material is properly organized.
Ability to assist in maintaining appearance of branch as needed, straightening, cleaning counter area, warehouse, bathrooms, etc.
Ability to report back orders and/or material discrepancies to Branch Manager.
Ability to accurately perform cycle counts as required.
Ability to perform all duties in a safe manner, following all safety rules.
Ability to inform manager of any potentially hazardous conditions.
Ability to perform forklift inspections as required.
Ability to assist in year-end physical inventories as requested.
Ability to perform other responsibilities as directed.
Regularly required to stand; walk; carry and or reach.
Regularly required to lift up to 25 lbs.
Frequently required to lift up to 50 lbs.
Occasionally required to lift up to 100 lbs.
Regularly required to talk or hear; read and identify numbers for accurate order filling and receiving of material, payment processing, etc.
Ability to apply sound reasoning and logic in performing daily tasks.
Required to be able to safely operate a forklift and or pallet jack.
