We are seeking a dedicated Warehouse Associate to join our team. This role involves working closely with the Freight/Receiving department to manage, transport, and store goods across multiple warehouse locations. The Warehouse Associate will be responsible for ensuring the organization, accuracy, and flow of inventory from warehouses to the store, assisting customers with loading orders and play a key role in picking and packing orders for our industrial sales department or direct customers. This is a physical role that requires the ability to lift and move heavy items.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • A valid driver’s license is mandatory.
  • Experience working in a hardware store or warehouse preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-focused attitude.
  • Ability to handle inventory, perform basic computer tasks for inventory management, and operate equipment.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a retail/warehouse environment.
  • Attention to detail and good organizational skills.
  • Basic math skills required for inventory management, measurements, and sales.
  • Must be able to lift, push, and pull items weighing at least 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, including climbing in and out of forklifts.
  • Previous warehouse or logistics experience is a plus.
  • This position will require you to be on your feet throughout the day, as well as lifting, pushing, pulling, squatting, and bending.
  • You should be able to lift 50 pounds from the ground as well as put heavy objects on shelves above your head.
  • This job will require climbing ladders and going up and down stairs on a daily basis.
  • This job will require you to be very organized and be able to identify differences in similar items with similar part numbers.
  • Must be good with numbers.

  • Previous warehouse or logistics experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Accurately organize, store, and maintain goods in designated warehouse locations.
  • Conduct regular inventory counts and report discrepancies.
  • Ensure that warehouse areas remain clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards.
  • Pick, pack, and prepare orders for the industrial sales department and direct customers.
  • Ensure orders are correctly labeled, packed, and ready for delivery or customer pickup.
  • Collaborate with the industrial sales team to meet specific order requirements and timelines.
  • Transport goods between warehouses and the store.
  • Assist with receiving shipments, inspecting goods for accuracy and damage.
  • Deliver products directly to customer vehicles when needed.
  • Assist customers with loading orders into their vehicles.
  • Provide courteous and efficient service when interacting with customers during pickups or loadouts.
  • Work closely with store staff and other departments to manage product flow and ensure timely restocking.
  • Coordinate with the industrial sales team to prioritize urgent orders.
  • Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Obtain and maintain a valid forklift certification (training provided, if needed).
