About The Position

In a warehouse environment, perform a variety of activities related to the storage and shipping of raw material and/or finished product in order to support the overall operation and exceed customer expectations. This is a 2nd shift union environment position on the warehouse floor, working on or around heavy machinery. The role is considered "safety sensitive" and requires successful completion of pre-employment drug testing.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
Ability to read, write, and perform basic math
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
Basic computer skills
Ability to use and understand scanning technology
Safety Mindset
2 years Previous warehouse experience preferable with metals
2 years forklift experience
2 years side loading experience
2 years machine operator experience
Ability to use hand-held measuring tools
Proficiency with the computer beyond the basic level

Responsibilities

Perform sorting, stacking, cleaning, washing, stocking and inspection of cartons, pallets, or parts as assigned to support the operation
Assist in filling and packaging orders and completing paperwork according to instructions
Operate cranes, forklifts, and other material handling equipment to move/deliver stock
Assist machine operators with a variety of functions as required to support the operation
Perform general clean-up activities
Maintain all equipment in working condition; report issues or breakdowns to Supervisor or Lead immediately
Train others when required
Participate, support, and comply with all health, safety, quality, and Lean initiatives and requirements
