About The Position

In a warehouse environment, the Warehouse Associate performs activities related to storing and shipping raw materials and/or finished products to support operations and exceed customer expectations. The position works directly on the warehouse floor, on or around heavy machinery, and has been designated safety sensitive by thyssenkrupp. Candidates considered for employment must successfully complete pre-employment drug testing, which may include marijuana testing where permitted by applicable law. The role also requires meeting TKMNA Employee Attributes/Competencies. The listed duties describe the general nature of the role and are not exhaustive.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Ability to read, write, and perform basic math.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Basic computer skills.
Ability to use and understand scanning technology.
Safety mindset.

Nice To Haves

Previous warehouse experience.
Ability to use hand-held measuring tools.
Computer proficiency beyond the basic level.

Responsibilities

Sort, stack, clean, wash, stock, and inspect cartons, pallets, or parts as assigned.
Assist with filling and packaging orders and completing paperwork according to instructions.
Operate cranes, forklifts, and other material-handling equipment to move or deliver stock.
Assist machine operators with functions needed to support operations.
Perform general cleanup activities.
Maintain equipment in working condition and immediately report issues or breakdowns to a Supervisor or Lead.
Train others when required.
Participate in, support, and comply with health, safety, quality, and Lean initiatives and requirements.
