Warehouse Associate Day Shift
About The Position
Acme Tools is seeking a motivated Warehouse Associate for their Day Shift. This full-time position offers a starting pay of $20.00/hour and involves a variety of warehousing tasks to support sales distribution points while adhering to safety, quality, and production standards. The role requires assisting with freight unloading, ensuring order accuracy, inspecting goods, and managing inventory. Associates will maintain stock levels, transport inventory, and participate in inventory counts. Additionally, the position involves preparing and picking orders for shipment, loading products, and occasionally driving a company vehicle. Maintaining a clean and organized warehouse, assisting with property maintenance, and ensuring a safe work environment are also key responsibilities. This role performs related tasks as assigned.
Requirements
- Strong computer skills and ability to learn new software
- Ability to lift 50 lbs, stand/walk for up to 10 hours, frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach, continuously climb and descend stairs safely
- Willing and able to work on powered equipment (e.g. forklift)

Responsibilities
- Assist with unloading freight from trucks and trailers using manual and motorized equipment.
- Compare goods received and packing slips to ensure order accuracy.
- Inspect goods for any damage and notify supervisor of discrepancies.
- Scan or enter product into inventory control system or related computer program.
- Maintain a consistent and adequate stock of products on the sales floor and warehouse shelves in a neat and orderly condition.
- Use manual or motorized equipment to transport inventory between warehouse and store locations.
- Participate in scheduled inventory events such as physical inventory counts.
- Accurately pick items from customer orders, shipping orders, or requisitions.
- Prepare shipments and load product onto trucks, trailers, or customer vehicles.
- Occasionally drive a company vehicle to transport items from warehouse to customer or pick-up items from various locations.
- Help in maintaining a clean and organized warehouse to ensure accessibility and safety.
- Participate in property maintenance such as snow removal and lawn care.
- Assist in maintaining a safe and secure work environment by adhering to safety standards and reporting any suspicious activity.
- Perform related tasks as assigned.
