This role contributes to the overall effectiveness of facility operations through proper product handling, organization, and adherence to safety and sanitation standards. The associate will be responsible for unloading and loading trailers, ensuring proper product stacking and preventing product mixing on pallets. They will also verify customer product is accounted for, free of infestation, within acceptable temperature ranges, and has correct production codes before placing it into storage. The position involves identifying and recovering damaged product, reporting shortages and overages, and assisting with physical inventories. Responsibilities include pulling and preparing product for shipment, ensuring accuracy in quantity, type, and lot numbers, and stacking product to build pallets securely. Picking duties must be performed efficiently to meet customer service and company standards. The role requires operating various equipment like forklifts, clamp trucks, slip-sheets, and turret trucks to load, unload, move, stack, and stage product, while maintaining equipment and materials in a neat, clean, and orderly fashion. Daily equipment inspections are necessary to ensure safe operation.
