About The Position

Pepsi Bottling Ventures (PBV) is seeking a Warehouse Associate for its second shift operations. PBV is the nation's largest private bottler and distributor of Pepsi beverages, with operations in NC, SC, MD, & DE. This role is responsible for safely and efficiently performing a variety of duties within the warehouse to support customers and meet business demands. Duties include pulling, loading, unloading, sorting, staging, stacking, building pallets, wrapping, transporting, counting, performing quality control checks, dumping, rework, replenishing, and handling PBV products, raw materials, packaging, and other warehouse goods. The specific duties may vary by facility.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED preferred.
Must be able to pass the forklift skills assessment and safely operate PBV Material Handling Equipment.
At least six (6) months of Forklift experience preferred.
Computer/Human Machine Interface skills.
Mechanical aptitude.
Good math, reading, writing, and communication skills.
Sorting and grouping skills.
Must be able to read and understand the difference in product labels and load ticket instructions.
Must be able to count large quantities of products and materials.
Must be able to read/hear and understand procedures for performing work.
Must be able to work in a warehouse environment that is not climate controlled with exposure to hot/humid or cold weather conditions.
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds constantly (67%-100% of the time).
Must be able to occasionally (0%-33% of the time) sit, read, climb, reach, kneel, bend, push, crawl, reach, pull cases of product, walk, and stand.
Must be able to speak, read and write proficient English.

At least six (6) months of Forklift experience.

Responsibilities

Verifies accuracy and quality of products received from vendors/suppliers and shipped to customers.
Performs check-in/check-out duties and maintains proper records (BOLs, receivers, pick tickets, etc.) according to warehouse SOPs.
Counts goods returned by sales and delivery personnel (damaged, full, and/or empty).
Safely and efficiently operates yard switcher and automatic/straight trucks on premises for loading/unloading.
Interacts with automation systems, voice pick system, paper pick tickets, and/or other warehouse management systems to verify and record product, build/finish pallets, and ensure accurate load outs and inventory counts.
Identifies machine faults, troubleshoots, corrects system errors/issues, and performs basic cleaning and maintenance on automation systems.
Safely and efficiently operates various warehouse material handling/moving equipment (single or double forklifts, HSPA Claw, walkie-rider pallet jack, wrappers, etc.) for storing, staging, retrieving, replenishing, loading, or unloading product and materials.
Safely and efficiently operates other warehouse and material handling machinery, including floor scrubber, cardboard baler, dock plates, and bay doors.
Performs all required safety and pre-trip checks on assigned machinery.
Performs janitorial tasks as necessary to maintain a clean and organized work area, including emptying trash, cleaning spills, picking up debris, and restacking pallets/product.
Adheres to Good Manufacturing Practices, Food Security, and other food safety rules and guidelines.
Ensures accuracy and quality of work.
Performs other duties as assigned.
