About The Position

Scout Design Studio is hiring for a Warehouse Associate role with a primary focus on shipping and receiving as well as general warehouse labor and maintenance. This position is physical in nature and will require the individual to be able to stay organized and work under pressure deadlines. The most important attribute we are looking for is a candidate who is positive, and willing to learn and grow with the company. We SCOUT the world to carefully find and create our collections. We offer limited-run Scout Label furniture, exclusive artwork, customizable designs and vintage finds. Located in the Dallas Design District, our 15,000 square foot showroom houses a well-edited collection of new and vintage furniture, artwork, lighting and home accessories from around the globe. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Preferred 1+ years of experience in a warehouse environment, particularly with shipping and receiving functions.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently while under pressure.
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with warehouse management systems.
  • Operate basic warehouse equipment like dolly's, ladders, and carts.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.
  • Must be able to squat, lift, stretch, and bend in order to reach all areas of the facility.
  • Must be able to work in and on overhead structures.
  • A clear background check, driving history, and drug test are required for this role.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior UPS shipping experience (using WorldShip, handling rate/zone specs, and adhering to strict packaging standards) is strongly preferred / highly beneficial.

Responsibilities

  • Expertly pack, pad, and wrap delicate home decor, fine art, and furniture to prevent damage during transport.
  • Inspect and QA all artwork and fragile items as they are being wrapped, verifying product condition, frame integrity, and finish before final packaging.
  • Pick customer orders, stage items for delivery, and generate and affix shipping labels for outbound packages.
  • Load and unload delivery trucks, meticulously verifying item quantities and conditions against packing slips and purchase orders.
  • Scan and record received inventory into the system, then sort and store products in designated warehouse locations.
  • Maintain accurate inventory through regular cycle counts, stock checks, and prompt discrepancy reporting.
  • Keep warehouse and storage areas clean, organized, and safe (sweeping, trash removal, and pallet management).
  • Maintain punctual, consistent attendance—reliability is a top priority for this role!
