About The Position

This position is critical for ensuring correct quantity of products are being pulled for packaging in order to meet customer expectations in a quality manner. The role involves picking and packing support, quality and safety checks, and troubleshooting system shipping errors. Employees will be required to follow any other job-related instructions and to perform any other job-related responsibilities requested by their supervisor.

Requirements

  • Ability to lift, push/pull and stand/walk for long periods of time
  • Daily tablet & scanning system use
  • Frequently lifting and push/pull up to 50 lbs and occasionally up to 75 lbs
  • Walking and standing for long periods of time on concrete floors (full shifts)

Responsibilities

  • Assigned picking queue based
  • Follow picking queue to determine work order processing
  • Review and report discrepancies and/or damaged items found in stocking locations
  • Scan and consolidate parts as required in the queue
  • Ensure all items are bagged and labeled properly
  • Scan in to consolidation locations in order to pass to pack out
  • Finalize transaction in tablet to close out
  • Support packaging station as needed if primarily in picking.
  • Scan summary label from consolidation carton to review order prior to packaging
  • Select and scan size/box necessary to package order properly
  • Follow proper package guidelines to ensure all product and documentation for the order is included in the shipment and packaged in an appropriate manner to provide quality delivery to customer
  • Finalize transaction in system to generate packaging label and customer invoice
  • Support picker role as needed if primarily used in packing.
  • As required by order, scanning and capturing of serial numbers in order to ensure accurate quality assurance for future warranty related to product
  • Proactively monitor stocking locations for damaged or incorrect product to be placed on quality or inventory control hold
  • Trouble shoot system shipping errors as needed and determine best available option and communicate as necessary
  • Proper startup safety checks at the start of every shift
