About The Position

Warehouse Associates are the last company personnel to handle finished product prior to customer delivery. Operators need to have a clear understanding of product packaging standards and transportation equipment standards. Knowledge of product descriptions, palletizing methods, and lot numbers is required to ensure accurate order processing. Proper loading ensures that trailer weights meet state and interstate highway weight requirements, and that our product arrives at the customer free of damage. The candidate must actively participate in Bunge’s Employee Safety Policy and maintain a safe work environment for self and all employees.

Requirements

• Basic understanding of product packaging standards and transportation equipment standards.
• Knowledge of product descriptions, palletizing methods, and lot numbers.
• Ability to ensure accurate order processing.
• Ability to ensure trailer weights meet state and interstate highway weight requirements.
• Ability to ensure product arrives at the customer free of damage.
• Actively participate in Bunge’s Employee Safety Policy and maintain a safe work environment.
• Proficiency with basic communication skills.
• Must pass a functional capacity test prior to employment.

Nice To Haves

• Demonstration of proper forklift operation is preferred.
• High School graduate is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Work consistently in a safe manner.
• Perform basic order selection, picking, palletizing, and loading functions for finished product orders.
• Inspect trailers to be loaded to ensure company standards are met.
• Decide proper load stacking and sequence following FIFO.
• Verify product codes, lot numbers, and item counts.
• Prepare correct picking and loading records to facilitate accurate transportation documents and customer receiving documents.
• Maintain safe operation of transportation equipment.
• Lock and chock trailers for personal safety.
• Ensure safe storage of product to eliminate safety incidents.
• Maintain order and arrangement of finished product in storage areas to ensure integrity and quality of the finished product; ensure areas are neat and clean.
• Other tasks and activities as directed by the Warehouse Supervisor or the Warehouse Manager.
