About The Position

Responsible and accountable for supporting the transportation and unloading/loading of materials, inventory supplies, and finished goods. This role involves receiving, distributing, and storing products, preparing and maintaining records of materials, reviewing shipments for accuracy, and preparing finished products for shipment. The associate will also be responsible for maintaining equipment, managing inventory levels, and handling customer returns.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least one year of forklift experience.
  • At least one year of related experience working within a material and/or logistics manufacturing or distribution environment.
  • Previous experience reading and following instructions, utilizing basic math and a tape measure.
  • Previous experience working in outdoor environments lifting 50 pounds as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Receiving, distributing, and storing products per company directives in designated, secure locations.
  • Preparing and maintaining records of materials received and shipped including dates of transactions, locations, and other pertinent information.
  • Reviewing shipments for quality as well as accompanying documents for accuracy.
  • Confirming shipping details and/or special instructions including expediting any shipments that affect the manufacturing process schedule.
  • Transporting and loading materials, supplies, and finished goods utilizing best method whether manually and/or utilizing tow motor trucks, overhead crane with chains, and pallet jacks.
  • Preparing finished product for shipment by identifying, pulling, staging, packing, crating, loading, and securing product.
  • Collecting and properly disposing of scrap bracing, cardboard, and strapping to ensure the Company maintains a safe and clean work environment.
  • Maintaining an updated account of stock and inventory utilizing applicable systems per Company directives.
  • Handling customer returns by completing appropriate technical documentation including providing any required communication to customer and internal departments.
  • Ensuring all material handling equipment is maintained in the best, safe operable condition by following a maintenance schedule and reporting faulty equipment, improper operations, and unusual conditions to the manager.
  • Maintaining the availability of products and notifying the manager when products are damaged or in short supply.
  • Collaborating with internal departments to locate missing packages.
