About The Position

The Receiving Associate supports daily inbound and outbound logistics activities at the Hackettstown facility. This position ensures that all deliveries, shipments, and storage operations are performed safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with GMP, food safety, and warehouse safety standards. The Associate is responsible for unloading and staging deliveries, inspecting incoming materials, maintaining documentation, and ensuring proper handling of all inventory. The responsibilities listed below are not exhaustive. As Ancient Crunch scales, the requirements of this position will expand and adapt. The Warehouse Associate is expected to lead new initiatives and assume additional duties consistent with this title and the long-term evolution of our warehouse and operations strategy.

Requirements

  • Authorized to work in the U.S. and able to commute to Hackettstown, NJ
  • Good memory, follow-up skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Strong communication skills

Nice To Haves

  • Interest in product quality, manufacturing, or food/science environments a plus
  • Warehouse, shipping, or logistics experience preferred
  • Forklift certification (or ability to obtain)
  • Knowledge of GMP, warehouse safety, and food handling standards preferred
  • Familiarity with ERP or warehouse inventory management systems preferred
  • OSHA or safety training preferred
  • Interest in growing within a mission-driven food company

Responsibilities

  • Unload trucks and stage deliveries.
  • Confirm that received goods match shipping paperwork and purchase orders.
  • Prepare and label outbound shipments correctly per customer requirements.
  • Communicate with the Production team to prioritize incoming materials and outgoing finished goods.
  • Update inventory logs and assist with cycle counts.
  • Track and report discrepancies, damage, or shortages immediately.
  • Operate forklifts, dock ramps, and pallet jacks as certified/trained.
  • Maintain required certifications for equipment operated.
  • Use dock hooks and PPE (steel toe shoes, gloves, vests) to prevent injury.
  • Follow procedures for safe unloading, storage, and documentation.
  • Participate in daily safety huddles and follow GMP compliance requirements.
  • Follow cleaning schedules and ensure trash, pallets, and debris are cleared daily.
  • Follow FIFO (First In, First Out) procedures for materials and finished products.
  • Participate in routine safety and compliance inspections.
