About The Position

Wieland is a global leader in copper and copper alloy manufacturing, processing, and distribution. We provide a large product and service portfolio including power, automotive, ammunition, coinage, construction materials, refrigeration, electronics and many other industries. Wieland is hiring a Warehouse Associate. The Warehouse Associate will be responsible for assisting in all facets of the movement of materials within the facility and from facility to facility. This shall encompass receiving of materials through shipment of the final product. Our facility is located at 45 Sutton Road | Verona, VA | 24482. Starting Pay: $24.30 per hour, with compensation adjusted based on experience and qualifications. Weekend Shift Schedule: Friday-Sunday | 6:00am - 6:00pm Pay Schedule: Bi-weekly Performance Evaluation at 90 days and 6 months with the potential for a $.50 increase after each evaluation.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • At least 2 years previous experience in an industrial environment preferred.
  • Powered Industrial Truck license and usage will be required
  • Ability to read text, interpret and execute context as required
  • Mechanical knowledge of machines/tools utilized in shipping and receiving.
  • Inventory management software and basic computer applications including Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

  • Receive, inspect, and record incoming stock and materials.
  • Organize and maintain inventory storage areas to ensure optimal space utilization, easy access to items, and timely transfer of inventory to appropriate destinations.
  • Conduct regular inventory audits and cycle counts to maintain accurate inventory levels.
  • Update inventory records in the management system, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
  • Prepare and process outgoing shipments, ensuring that orders are complete and correct.
  • Operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks, safely and efficiently.
  • Assist with the packing and labeling of products for shipment, adhering to company guidelines and safety standards.
  • Collaborate with other team members and departments to assure movement of materials in a timely, safe, and efficient manner.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to safety regulations and best practices.
  • Provide support for inventory-related projects and initiatives as needed.
  • Assist in manufacturing as needed.
