About The Position
RJ Schinner is a growing company with a long history, operating 20 distribution centers across the U.S. and employing over 600 people. They specialize in stocking distributors with essential items like paper goods, foodservice packaging, and cleaning supplies. This full-time, second shift position (Monday-Friday, 2:30 pm - 11:00 pm or completion) involves receiving and transporting products, picking orders, assembling orders, and preparing goods for shipment. The role requires accurate receipt and shipment of merchandise and adherence to established concepts and procedures within the redistribution field.
Requirements
- 1-year previous warehouse experience
- 1-year previous forklift experience, and ability to follow all safety protocols
- High degree of attention to detail
- Ability to lift up to 50-75 lbs. frequently
- Comfortable with exposure to environmental conditions (e.g., heat/cold; noise and dust)
- Comfortable with heights
Responsibilities
- Receives and transports products to appropriate locations.
- Picks products, assembles orders and prepares goods for shipment.
- Ensures accurate receipt/shipment and appropriate handling of merchandise.
- Operates different types of forklifts including stand-up, and order picker.
- Utilizes RF scanners to track inventory and product movement.
- Receives, picks and/or transports product throughout warehouse according to company standards.
- Stacks, palletizes, totes, and/or stores product in a safe and efficient manner.
- Maintains shipping, receiving and inventory records through proper documentation.
- Maintains organization and warehouse cleanliness.
- Responsible for all warehouse safety protocols including, but not limited to utilizing PPE and performing safety checks on all powered equipment.
