About The Position

The Warehouse Associate (with Plumbing Experience) plays a key role in the day-to-day operations of our warehouse - supporting receiving, storing, and distributing materials that keep our projects running smoothly. This position ensures accuracy, organization, and safety in all warehouse activities while maintaining compliance with company policies and procedures. In addition, this role requires familiarity with plumbing materials, components, and basic applications to support efficient inventory handling and order fulfillment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous warehouse experience preferred, but not required.
  • Prior experience or basic knowledge in plumbing, including familiarity with common materials such as PVC, copper, PEX, fittings, valves, and fixtures strongly preferred.
  • Ability to read and understand basic plumbing terminology, measurements, and product specifications.
  • Ability to operate warehouse equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks) or willingness to learn.
  • Basic computer skills and comfort working with technology.
  • Must be tech-savvy and willing to learn inventory systems and new software tools.
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and accuracy, especially when handling plumbing components with similar appearances but different specifications.
  • Physical ability to lift and move materials - regularly up to 50 lbs, occasionally over 75 lbs with assistance.
  • Comfortable using ladders and working at heights.
  • Dependable, self-motivated, and able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

  • Unload, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against packing lists and purchase orders.
  • Document and report discrepancies or damages promptly.
  • Organize materials on racks, shelves, or bins according to inventory systems, including proper categorization of plumbing supplies such as pipes, fittings, valves, fixtures, and related components.
  • Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment with accuracy and efficiency, ensuring correct selection of plumbing parts and materials based on size, type, and specifications.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), including detailed tracking of plumbing inventory.
  • Conduct regular cycle counts and inventory audits.
  • Replenish stock and manage inventory flow, with attention to high-demand plumbing materials and supplies.
  • Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment.
  • Load and unload trucks as needed, ensuring proper handling of fragile or specialized plumbing items.
  • Assist in identifying plumbing materials and verifying part numbers, sizes, and compatibility for orders.
  • Keep the warehouse clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards, including proper storage of plumbing materials to prevent damage or contamination.
  • Report any safety concerns or incidents immediately.
  • Collaborate with team members to meet daily operational goals.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and coworkers.
  • Provide support to field teams or customers by helping identify correct plumbing parts and materials when needed.
  • Participate in ongoing training and development programs, including product knowledge related to plumbing systems and materials.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
