About The Position

Under general supervision, the Warehouse Associate is responsible for assisting with inventory control, material handling, shipping, and receiving related tasks. A Warehouse Associate holds a key role in keeping the warehouse and production flows in alignment/organized as well as supporting the other warehouse team members as necessary. This position reports to the Warehouse Supervisor and works closely with all departments. Position will have key responsibilities in all areas of the warehouse. This is a second shift position, Monday-Thursday, 2pm - 12am, after a training period on first shift (7am-5pm), and includes a 10% shift differential.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 2+ years warehouse experience preferred
  • Ability to meet deadlines and to concentrate and pay attention to detail
  • Operate various material handling equipment – manual and powered
  • Interpersonal skills necessary to work effectively with coworkers
  • Basic word processing skills required, including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • SAP experience a preferred but not required
  • Work requires: walking or standing over 50% of the time
  • Ability to lift up to 35 pounds, approximately 20% of a standard work day

Responsibilities

  • Organize stock and maintain inventory on production floor based on production needs. Including stock level verification, kitting, repackaging, system transactions and delivery
  • Verification of all incoming materials, supplies, and equipment to the stockroom/all departments
  • Inventory Control tasks, cycle counting, audits
  • Accurately and efficiently process and ship orders including shipping transactions
  • Transact, ship, receive materials and product in Safran's ERP system (SAP)
  • Receive all incoming materials
  • Assemble/select shipping containers and prepare items for shipping both domestically and internationally
  • Compare identifying information and counts, weighs or measures items of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders or other records.
  • Unpack and examine incoming shipments, reject damaged items, record and report shortages and discrepancies and correspond with shipper to rectify
  • Safely operate warehouse equipment
