About The Position

Established in 2003, Al-Furqaan Foundation is a distinguished international dawah organization committed to disseminating the teachings of the Quran while upholding its five fundamental rights: belief, recitation, understanding, action, and propagation. Based in Bolingbrook, Illinois, Al-Furqaan Foundation is a non-profit, tax-exempt organization with multiple business units working together to serve the American Muslim community and beyond through impactful programs and initiatives.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Retail, customer service, or warehouse experience preferred
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
• Basic computer and data entry skills; POS experience a plus
• Physical ability to lift and move inventory and work in varying environmental conditions
• Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays( occasionally).
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Nice To Haves

• Clean driving record - We will provide training in driving trucks.
• Operating warehouse equipment (e.g, forklifts, pallet jacks) is preferred. We offer free training.
• Arabic or Urdu language skills are preferred but not necessary.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist customers in person, by phone, email, and online inquiries
• Recommend books and products based on customer needs
• Accurately process sales using the POS system and handle cash/card transactions
• Promote specials, discounts, and ongoing promotions
• Assist with opening and closing procedures
• Maintain clean, organized, and visually appealing displays
• Monitor and replenish store supplies
• Support management in meeting sales and operational goals
• Receive, inspect, label, and store incoming shipments
• Conduct inventory checks, cycle counts, and report discrepancies
• Pick, pack, and prepare customer orders for shipment
• Generate shipping documents and coordinate with carriers
• Load/unload shipments and operate warehouse equipment (training provided)
• Maintain organized warehouse storage and follow best packaging practices
• Follow all workplace safety procedures and use PPE as required
• Maintain cleanliness of bookstore and warehouse areas
• Report maintenance, safety, or equipment issues promptly
